Ford Transit Fleet FAQ
What fleet buyers ask us before the first van order.
How many vans do I need to buy to get fleet pricing?
Fewer than most people expect. A Ford FIN code — the account that unlocks fleet pricing and incentives — is what matters, not a big first order. We help you get one, and we will quote a single van as readily as a hundred. More on FIN codes.
Which roof height and wheelbase should I be looking at?
Transit offers three roof heights — low, medium and high — across 130" and 148" wheelbases, with an extended-length 148" body on top of that. Cargo volume runs up to 487 cu ft. Tell us what has to fit and whether crews need to stand up inside, and we will point at the configuration rather than make you read the matrix.
Can you install shelving and racking before delivery?
Yes, and there are two routes. Ford builds Electrician (66K), HVAC (66L) and General Contractor (66M) trade packages on the assembly line, and for anything beyond that we coordinate with certified upfitters — Adrian Steel for van racking among them. Either way the van arrives ready to work.
Do you supply Transit cutaway and chassis cab for a body build?
Yes. Cutaway and chassis cab ship as incomplete vehicles at 138", 156" and 178" wheelbases specifically for body builders — box bodies, ambulance modules, food trucks and specialty conversions. Vehicle Integration System (VIS) 2.0 is standard on those configurations.
Can you handle a large order, or only a few vans at a time?
Both. We supply 100+ Southern California trade contractors and 30+ California government agencies, including a 200+ unit program for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. A 40-van order and a single van go through the same team.
How fast will I get a quote?
The same day. Tell us the job, the roof height and wheelbase if you know them, the upfit you need and your timeline — or just describe the work and we will spec it.
Do you handle E-Transit as well?
Yes. The battery-electric E-Transit is available in the same cargo, chassis cab and cutaway families. See E-Transit fleet details.
